Cake Decorating Classes

Course 1 (Discover Cake Decorating) $28.00
Learn the basics: borders, stars, shells, zig zags, writing, figure piping, pattern transfer, icing roses, floral sprays and more. Includes book. (No experience necessary).

Four 2-hour classes, 7-9pm.

Course 2 (Flowers and More)  $28.00
Build on your Course I skills, and learn elegant new borders, color flow and lovely new flowers along with the impressive basketweave technique. Includes book. (Course I experience necessary).

Four 2-hour classes, 7-9pm

Course 3 (Fondant &Tiered Cakes) $28.00
Learn intricate embroidery and lace,
stringwork, garland and ruffle borders.
Work with rolled fondant, assemble a
tiered cake, create beautiful new lily
nail flowers. Includes book. (Course I
experience necessary).

Four 2-hour classes, 7-9pm.

Cake Decorating and Mini Classes

Icing Flowers $10.00
Come back one more night after course 2 and learn more icing flowrs. (Course 2 experience necessary).

Wilton Fondant & Gumpaste Class $40
A new way to add excitement to your cakes. Learn how to use tools to cut and shape textured ribbons and borders. Create flowers and accents with beautiful detail. Includes book. (Course 1 experience necessary.)

Basic Rolled Fondant  $25
Learn how to prepare and cover a cake with fondant. Then decorate using crimpers, fondant moldings and ribbons. Also learn to make an easy and beautiful fondant rose. (No experience necessary)

Wedding Cake Seminar   $20
Learn to assemble a tiered cake, use separator plates, pillars and bridges. Shows slicing and pricing. Includes booklet. (Some experience necessary)

Decorate With Chocolate $20.00
Back by popular demand! More uses for chocolate will be learned in this demo/workshop. Make chocolate clay to form flowers- calla Lily, rose, etc. Learn quick & easy chocolate bows, garnishing techniques, and other entertaining ideas. Includes handouts. (No experience necessary).

Fancy Borders & Writing   $25
New combined class. Add more variety and flair to your decorated cakes. Build on borders already learned to create more elaborate borders. Pipe assorted decorative lettering in basic script styles, including calligraphy and monograms. Includes handouts. (Some experience necessary)

Our School Guidelines

A minimum of 50% deposit (or the entire fee for a Mini-Class or Children’s Class) is required for registration to all classes. Deposits are non-refundable, and transferring classes will not be allowed, so please make your selections carefully. Refunds will be given only if class is cancelled. Class sizes are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Meet Our Instructors:
Lorraine Frisbee, , both owner and lead- instructor at Lorraine’s School Of Cake Decorating, is an award winning cake decorator, decorating professionally for over thirty years. She is an I.C.E.S. member and former I.C.E.S. state representative. Lorraine has thirty years teaching experience, has taught over three thousand students locally and abroad and is a member of the Wilton Hall Of Fame and prestigious Wilton President's Club. She is a former bakery owner, has judged various cake competitions and demonstrated for many organizations. Lorraine has produced eight different cake decorating and candy making videos which are marketed nationally as well as Internationally.
Jim Frisbee, Lorraine’s husband and right- hand man, helps teach the candy classes at Lorraine’s School Of Cake Decorating. He has won awards for his candy creations and has worked with a national company to market his two inventions: the Adaplicator tm Top Candy Bottle and the Multi-Melter tm Chocolate Melter. Jim has attended many classes and seminars on candy making.
Laurie Bourke, , an instructor at Lorraine’s School Of Cake Decorating, began her training with her mother Lorraine Frisbee, at a young age, and was also trained by Wilton. She is an award winning decorator who has attended numerous classes and seminars on cake decorating. Laurie has been an employee of Lorraine’s, Inc. for twenty-six years, and has fifteen years teaching experience. She has taught over one thousand students, and is a member of the Wilton Hall Of Fame.
